The Juke Joint in Acton – A Blues Community is a music documentary and concert film, currently in production for public audiences. It celebrates and promotes the history, community, music and cultural significance of a unique, private, rural blues venue, The Juke Joint in Acton, Ontario, and is a tribute to its late founder and well-known music promoter, Stew Laing.

Screening Location: The John Elliott Theatre, 9 Church Street, Halton Hills, ON
When: Saturday, Oct 8 – Presentation 2 p.m. – Show starts at 2:30

Enjoy an entertaining Thanksgiving afternoon in our beautiful, accessible, local arts theatre. It’s a rare opportunity to see the film in progress. Give us your feedback at a Director/Producer Q&A after the screening. Meet our team which has dedicated 1000 hours to keep the blues alive. Friends and family welcome.

Pay-what-you-may donations are welcome at the event to help with post-production, festival entry and distribution marketing costs!

This event is a part of the Ontario Culture Days Regional Hub Program. 
A portion of the fundraising proceeds will be shared with Guitars for Kids Toronto.

Note that a portion of the fundraising proceeds will be shared with Guitars for Kids Toronto, which collects and spruces up donated guitars to give kids in our community a chance to develop their budding musical talent.
